PRIVATE VICTORY (HABITS 1-3)

I am responsible for myself and I can create my own destiny through god

PUBLIC VICTORY (HABITS 4-6)

I am a team player and I have power and influence with people through god

I will not let others decide how I'm going to feel

ALBERT E GREY’S common denominator of success

All successful people have the habit of doing the things failures dont like to do. They dont like doing them either necessarily. But their disliking is subordinated to the strength of their purpose.

Nothing in life comes easy. You have to pay the price. Getting good education is the most important price you can pay. Education is the key to unlock your future. Sometimes you just have to discipline yourself to do things you don't feel like doing because of what you hope to gain from it.

To improve strength, speed and endurance of mind, you must work it out. There are no shortcuts.

PERSONAL MISSION STATEMENT

According to Sean Covey, everyone should have a personal mission statement because it provides a clear sense of purpose and direction.

EXAMPLE OF A PERSONAL MISSION STATEMENT:

First and foremost, I will remain faithful to my God.

I will treat all people with respect and dignity but I will not let others use me or mistreat me.

I will be honest, patient, confident, courageous and will never give up.

I will respect and love myself and will believe myself.

I don’t have to respond the way everyone else does or the way people think I should.

I choose how to react.

I choose what path to take.

I define myself.

I will always maintain good mental health with positive self esteem, knowing that my mindset matters the most.

the habits -overall explanation

Plan

value each moment

Manage time properly

Winning means rising each time you fall. Be strong in the hard moments. Dont give in to peer pressure

No - winlose, lose win, lose lose. Only choose- win win , or else choose no deal

Win win will fill you with happy serene thoughts and will give you confidence

No competing and no comparing

The deepest need of the human heart is to be understood. People dont care how much you know until they know how much you care. To understand someone you must listen to them.

7% words, 40% tone/feeling, 53% body language

Celebrate differences- dont tolerate. Together we can achieve more. Instead of trying to blend in and be like everyone else, be proud of and celebrate your unique differences and qualities.

Getting to synergy- action plan:

1- define the problem or opportunity

2-their way- seek first to understand the ideas of others

3-my way- seek to be understood by sharing your ideas

4-brainstorm-create new options and ideas

5-high way- find the best solution

Sharpen the saw:

Too busy sawing a tree- take a break and sharpen the saw

Too busy driving- take time to get gas

Too busy living- take time to renew yourself

Keep your personal-self sharp so that you can deal with life better

Four wheels of a car

  • Body- physical- relax, excercise, eat healthy, sleep well

  • Brain- mental- study, read, write, skills

  • Heart- emotional- RBA, PBA, service, laugh

  • Soul- spiritual - meditate, pray

Keep your personal self sharp so you can deal with life better.

Whether I fail or succeed shall be no person’s doing but my own. I am the force; I can clear my obstacle before me or I can be lost in the maze. My choice; my responsibility; win or lose; only I hold the key to my destiny.

CARPE DIEM

The tree that never had to fight

For sun and sky and air and light

But stood out in the open plain

And always got its share of rain,

Never became a forest king

But lived and died a scrubby thing

Good timber does not grow with ease

The stronger wind the stringer trees

It all begins with a single step. Keep hope alive
